Minor characters episode
I saw an interesting Simpsons episode today, and I thought this might work for an Hey Arnold episode as well ^^
The Simpsons episode is called "22 Short Films About Springfield" (how original XD )
Wikipedia says: "In 22 Short Films About Springfield Bart and Milhouse wonder about the various stories happening around Springfield. The episode inspired Simpsons creator Matt Groening to come up with a concept of a possible spin-off series called Tales from Springfield, about the recurring characters of Springfield, but the series was never picked up."
If you like the series, you can watch the episode here:
http://www.wtso.net/movie/77-The_Simpsons_721_22_Short_Films_About_Sp.html
Or if you don't have the time, here's a short summary(from wikipedia)
There are short clips about a bunch of minor characters in the series, like BumbleBee Man, Comicbook Guy, Reverend Lovejoy and more..
The short clips don't have anything to do with each other, but they roll over into each other by little things, like a radio changing into another radio in another room, playing the same music, or car driving by in which the next person is sitting, and the camera following that car/person..
And it's pretty cool how this episode is made: the stories are all written by different writers ^^
I think something similar would be fun as an HA! episode
We could tell some more about a few minor characters, without spoiling another story, and without having to create a whole 20-page-comic about just one character.
Like.. Harvey (the mailman), we tell a little story about him.. and he'll end up delivering a letter to Big Bob, and then we continue with BB, telling a little story about him.. We could even get Fuzzy Slippers in there (or just an outline or his back, or off screen).. Principal Wartz maybe? One of Arnold's classmates..
What do you think?

The episode is a series of short skits, each showing a brief slice of life in Springfield after Bart and Milhouse wonder if anything interesting happens to Springfield's citizens.
Bart and Milhouse spit and squirt condiments from a highway overpass onto cars, then go to the Kwik-E-Mart. There, Apu leaves his shop for five minutes to briefly attend a party at his brother Sanjay's house. Lisa gets gum in her hair and Marge tries to get it out by putting a variety of foods on her head. Smithers gets stung by a bee while bike riding with Mr. Burns. Dr. Nick comes under criticism from the medical board for his unorthodox medical procedures only to treat Abraham Simpson with an electric light socket, saving his career. Moe gets robbed by Snake after Barney gives him $2,000 to pay for a portion of his bar tab. Skinner hosts dinner for Superintendent Chalmers and when his roast is burnt, he attempts to disguise food from the Krusty Burger as his own cooking. Homer traps Maggie in a newspaper vending box. The cops debate McDonald's Quarter Pounder vs. Krusty Burgers. Bumblebee Man's house is destroyed and his wife leaves him after a horrible day at work. Snake runs Chief Wiggum over and the two begin to fight, they roll into Herman's shop, who captures them at gun point. Reverend Lovejoy urges his dog to use the Flanders lawn as a toilet. Various townspeople advise Marge and Lisa on how to remove the gum stuck in Lisa's hair. Cletus offers Brandine some shoes he found. Milhouse has to use the bathroom in Comic Book Guy's Android's Dungeon, but ends up leaving before he can use it. He then goes with his father to Herman's store, there he accidentally knocks him out, saving his father, Snake and Wiggum's lives. Lisa gets the gum cut out of her hair, leaving her with a different hairstyle. Nelson laughs at Lisa's new haircut, and at an extremely tall man in a small car who gets out and humiliates him to teach him a lesson in making fun of others. Bart and Milhouse conclude that life is interesting in their town after all. Lastly, "The Tomfoolery of Professor John Frink" is almost seen, but the episode ends before Frink can begin his story.[2]

To decide who would write each of the segments, all of the writers chose their top three favorite characters and put them into a hat, the names were drawn out and the writers were assigned their parts.[3] Oakley wrote the Superintendent Chalmers story,[3] Weinstein did the Comic Book Guy and Milhouse scene,[4] David Cohen penned the Reverend Lovejoy sketch, as well as the deleted Krusty scene.[5] Brent Forrester wrote the Krusty Burger scene,[4] while Rachel Pulido wrote the Bumblebee Man one.[3]

Re: Minor characters episode
Yes, I really like this idea.
One of my favorite episodes ever of The Simpsons in an episode called The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase in which you see what it would be like if a bunch of the minor characters temporarily had their own spin-off show. For example, Chief Wiggum is a private detective in New Orleans.
You can see that episode here: http://www.wtso.net/movie/361-824_The_Simpsons_SpinOff_Showcase.html
It might be cool to incorporate something like that into a comic too.

Re: Minor characters episode
lol I love the Simpsons. That really sounds like a good idea. I think it was also be cool if we could incorporate some existing HA! fanfic drabbles out there, since many HA! fanfic writers aren't in this project. We could also pick some of our favourite drabble episodes and ask the writers if we could adapt them.

Re: Minor characters episode
Yeah, sounds like a very good idea. We have a similar movie here in Russia, with POV seemingly randomly jumping from one character to another.
BTW about Fuzzy Slippers, I think I found his photo: http://tickytack.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/slippers.jpg

Re: Minor characters episode
LMAO @ the Fuzzy Slippers pic.
This does sound like a great idea for an episode, especially since it gives the opportunity to flesh out characters that never had an episode dedicated to them, or that spoke less than 20 lines per season.
For example, I always imagined Sheena being the middle child in a family of three girls. She'd have a younger cheery sister (ala Timberly) named Shayna, and an older, moody gothic teenage sibling named Sharona.
