Reforming the Helga's Bow Episode Project (Alternate Title: Shall We Get This Project Started Up Again? ;) )

So like I said in the last announcement, the Helga's Bow project has been on hiatus for quite some time now and it's about time we got this project going back on its feet again!

So the first step would be to confirm some of our existing volunteers in this group project and fill in some of the new vacant roles. Here's what the old crew looked like:

Group Leader: sueKay

script Writer: sueKay

Thumbnail Artist: Retromanka. Additional thumbnail artist may be needed.

Editors: Coloredskies84, ger5632

Penciller: PinkGloom, Bloochikin

Inker: sueKay

Colorist: sueKay, Hellerick. 1 more colourist (one for block colouring, one for shading, and one for highlights; sueKay is happy to do any of the three) needed.

Background Artist: heymario!
Cover Artist: sueKay


We're most likely going to have to scrap all this and get our members to confirm their involvement or get new members to volunteer for the roles as if it were a new project starting up. To get us started, the fantastic (or may I say uber-fantastic) Retromanka has volunteered to act as the new Group Leader and script writer.

Let's get this project started up again and get Helga's bow back!

Can I just say...

I know that I have been away (mostly due to circumstances outwith my control), but that does not mean that it is open season on my story idea. I am not happy at not being told that someone else was now writing a story based on my idea.

Someone asked before if I wanted to hand the story over and I said no. That was a long time ago, and if someone had asked now, I would have happily said yes. But I was not consulted.

The story idea is my intellectual property. I am extremely annoyed at not even being asked before someone started to rewrite it.

Oh...I was under the impression we already had your permission...I'm really sorry! >_<;; I meant no disrespect to the original creator of the idea, and I'm sure no one else did either...I hope you can maybe still work with us on it, and we'll combine ideas?...

sueKay, I am so sorry that this turn of events had to occur and that I've insulted you. I do recognize that I am at fault here for not sending you a PM or a personal email to you about this matter and, for that, I am truly sorry.

However, that is not to say I did not try to address where we were going with the Helga's Bow project. I did make an announcement in April asking how everyone's summer was looking like and if they were still on board with the HA6S project (including episode projects) and did send an email to all staff members asking them to reply to said announcement. And at the beginning of May, I even made an announcement that specifically addressed the Helga's Bow project, saying that if I did not hear a word from any staff member about confirming their participation in said project, the project would either be moved back to General Discussion or have new members reassigned to this group.

I am not saying that I am blaming you for anything, but that I can only tell (and assume) so much if I have not heard anything from a person for almost half a year now. It was hard for me to tell if this episode project was still alive because there was no activity on its given sub-forum and because some of the group's most pivotal members had not logged into the forums for almost half a year. But again, I do see it as my fault for not trying to personally contact you and the group's members.

A million sorries (and even that wouldn't be enough) for not consulting you personally about this project. I as well meant no disrespect to you and if you can find it in your heart to forgive us, we would be truly humbled. If you want to continue leadership with this project, or want us to completely drop this project as this story idea is still your intellectual property, we will completely understand. Again, we are very sorry.

Sorry, I didn't want to offend you, sueKay. That's throughout your episode and of cause for your choice if you take a leadership again or/and unite our ideas.

Not to cause any trouble, but can I just say I think if you don't log in for nearly 6 months you have no place getting your panties in a bunch when your project gets re-assigned. Sorry. :/

Tendra91 - Thank you for the apology...Yes I am okay with someone else handling Helga's Bow from now on...I just don't have the time to commit to it anymore...I might pop in from time to time if I can.

sueKay, thank you so much for replying and allowing us to continue with your story idea. It is very well appreciated and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I also had one more question for you. I know that you were in the middle of writing a script for this project. Did you want us to continue with your written script (i.e. finish up your script) or did you just want us to write the script from scratch? No I think it's best if you start it from scratch..I wasn't all that happy with what I'd written, and you'll have probably already started with a new script, so just go with what you've got now

Thank you, sueKay! We'll try to do your brilliant idea justice! And I hope you'll pop in once in a while and maybe offer input on our ideas! ^_^

So, I think I will have to give up my role as a penciler.

Long story short, my family and I have been going back and forth from our home to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX and I've found that I have very little time free time from all the traveling and trying to keep up with school work. I'm still very willing to do the cover art though.

Can I be an editor? I'd also like to be able to suggest ideas for the script and stuff.

Another editor would be lovely!
