Or does everything here seem kind of... dead?

Maybe I'm being oddly paranoid...

lol I apologize. For me, I'm stuck in the middle of midterms season, so I'll be more active following this Thursday (that's also when a new project announcement will be posted).

I think (or at least hope!) most of us are still alive.

The fandom in general seems to be hibernating as of late.

I try to log in and check things out once per day (sometimes I log in and accidentally leave the window open, lol).

I've been thinking of ideas still, it's just that I've been so busy with school that I haven't really been posting much stuff. In fact, someone actually sent me a PM the other day and asked me to reply to their post because no one had replied after a few days lol.

I'm thinking that a lot of people are just really busy right now, but soon I'll be free for winter break (yay! counting down the days).

School seems to be the deciding factor. I'm working on a first draft of the "Potty Mouth" script but I want to have that halfway done before I start canvassing for assistance.

I'm still around. Like Tendra, I've just been really wrapped up with school and whatnot. I try to check every now and then though.

It's the same for me, so I've felt kind of out of the loop and started thinking that things were kind of stopping? I don't know why. Haha.

I can't wait for winter break! It'll be my first vacation in a year! I'm about to break down...

Same here, I log in every day, but usually I'm just too busy to reply to new story ideas and such I read all the new posts though.

Same here. Replies often take me more than an hour to make because I try to put a lot of thought into them. I remember once I about stayed up all night posting a response and nearly missed class the next day. lol

LOL Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks so! I think school is the MAIN issue that a lot of people have here. Sadly, I think my Junior year will be the busiest. SSL hours, college apps, and a huge English project worth 95% of my final grade! It's going to be a bitch to write. XD

lol, I'm writing a 2000 word paper right now, and it's only worth ~20% of my overall grade. Suddenly, I don't feel so overwhelmed...

2000 words!? Mine has to be 5-7 pages! T__T

I think 5 pages is about 1000 words, if you double space and use 12 pt. font. I have a little over 5 pages now and it's 1191 words. Make sure you save your work a lot. I had to start all over because my original file got corrupted somehow.

That sucks! O__O I don't know how to use those harddrive things you can stick into your computer...

Someone gave me a really good idea, and now I think I'm going to do this from now on so I don't have any problems like this again. Every so often, as you write your paper, copy and paste the document into your email and then save it to the drafts folder or email it to yourself. If you use gmail, yahoo, etc., then you'll be able to access the document from any computer with an internet connection...even if your computer crashes or your original file becomes corrupted (like mine did )

Oooooo that's a good method. I sometimes do that myself. Another thing you can do, if you have Microsoft Word (I dunno about Apple), is alter the settings on your computer so that Word makes a backup folder of your document and keeps updating the file every 10 or so minutes (or even less if you're paranoid).

That's also a good idea in case your printer malfunctions for whatever reason. Whenever things go bad, I e-mail my work and take off to my college library to work on the rest. The only down-side is having to pay for printing. :/ But hey, good grades are worth a couple of cents in my opinion.

95%? Ugh, that sucks! That reminds me of my philosophy class. It was absolutely a breeze in terms of the amount of work you had to do — which there was only one of in my case — but the percentage of that one, stupid assignment would deem whether you passed or failed. It was awful, especially if you had a Psychology final and an English paper due at the same time like I did. I don't know how I ever managed to survive that last week (that was two years ago).

Currently I'm working on a 2000 word* paper myself, lol. Thankfully it's only 15% of my grade, and considering the fact that I wrote about 8000 words this semester, 2000 doesn't seem so daunting. :p Not when others are working on papers that are 5000 words long, or worth 95% of their grade (which is absolutely cruel).
