Okay, that wasn't entirely brightening >.> Well, I mean that there are so many more stories to add the imagination if the Hey Arnold story's open ended

Its not fair that Nick can stop him from writing the ending to his own show... I mean really, the characters were his creation right? Its not fair that they can tell him that he can't do anything with it. Sucks cuz they own the rights to Arnold, Helga and the whoooole kit 'n kaboodle.

Oh god, believe me I love Fanfiction, but its only satisfying to a point. There's still not that definite, I know what happened, cuz I saw it... so and and so forth. I think its an 'artists' personality flaw, oh well...

This whole thing is just depressing. For real, we should protest Nick lol.

Yes, Craig has created a preschool show for PBS called Dinosaur Train. It seems to be doing very well. In fact, just the other day I was in Seattle and I was riding the light rail train and I overheard this little preschool aged girl sitting across from me ask her mom, "are we on the dinosaur train?" (or something like that)
and her mom said "sweetie, dinosaurs don't ride trains."

He's amazing, and I'm glad he's doing other things. But him doing preschool shows is like... kinda depressing...

I think there are quite a few people from Hey Arnold! working on Dinosaur Train. Joseph Purdy is definitely one of the writers.

I do think that it might be possible to get a book deal sometime in the future. With electronic publishing with pdf files or Kindle files or whatever, it doesn't seem like it would cost Nick nearly as much money to publish as a traditional book. They've already kind of explored this concept with the burn on demand Amazon DVDs.

I'm going to cling to the tiny little smidgen of hope that they would revive the series.... or at least give us a novel to wrap things up, or an audio book maybe? That wouldn't suck either.

lol, yes. I am definitely hoping for a novel (with illustrations! Very Happy )

I don't know...I guess I'm probably just being young, and ignorant, and overly-optimistic; but I still love this show and I can't just give up at least a little bit of hope. And like I said, I would be completely happy and satisfied with the ending of the show if I had the chance to read a novel version of TJM.

I feel the same. I'd love to have a movie... but I'd be content with the book, definitely with pictures. I miss HA, sooo bad lol, its just not the same not getting to watch new episodes on Nick y'know? Razz

Yeah, I know what you mean. That's why I enjoy this project so much. It almost feels like we get to pick up where the HA! writers left off (with the exception of TJM, right now).
It's not the same as watching animated episodes on TV, but it's still really an amazing experience to help write and brainstorm episode ideas and see things start to come together in an awesome comic.

I think when we finish our first comic, we should send a hard copy over to Craig and let him read it.

Ooooo that's a great idea! We could send him a copy, with a letter attached to it from all of us, thanking him for Hey Arnold, and what an inspiration its been to all of us. I think he'd really like that. Smile

yep, we could even send it all around the world to all the HA6S staff members and have everyone autograph it before we send it to him.

lol, maybe we should just have a big Hey Arnold! convention instead. We'll pick a city, book a hotel conference room, and then we'll hold HA! related workshops and stuff like that. And no one leaves until we finish the comic and we all sign it XD

OMG that'd be super kickass! We could all just chill and watch HA! Episodes and dress up and stuff, Oooo that'd be soooo cool. I went to a Star Wars convention once, and it was wicked. Very Happy That's a great idea.

It'd be really expensive though.... buuut, if we DID pull it off, then we should totally try to see if Craig would come to it, that'd make it complete.

To the person who said she found out six-year-old girls love Hey Arnold!: I must know the one random little girl that doesn't like Hey Arnold!. She's my cousin. I was watching Hey Arnold! one day while babysitting her. She's nine now and she still says she doesn't like it because it's not iCarly or Spongebob.

LittlePinkBow and funnybones021: That is an amazing idea, but yes very expensive. Doesn't mean it's 100% completely impossible though. It would just probably take a few years for anyone to ever be able to make it a real convention, etc. that occurs each year (for as long as there are people who will most definitely attend). Razz

blech, iCarly No
XD...I guess I shouldn't judge since I've never actually seen it before lol. I'm just jealous that iCarly gets more attention than Hey Arnold! now, I guess.

lol, if there was a HA! convention, I would definitely go.

Re: Bringing back another show?

There's probably a few reasons for why it's so popular. First it includes a lot of current technology, i.e., computers, cell phones, etc. and let's the fans contribute to the show in more ways than just sending in videos.

I actually like iCarly. Mostly because of the second reason: there seems to be a ton of Hey Arnold! references in the series. Plus on most occasions throughout the series Freddie/Sam = Arnold/Helga ...and... Freddie/Carly = Arnold/Lila. You know, if you can picture Helga and Lila being best friends while the guy Helga picks on loves her best friend who only likes him as a friend and nothing more. And Reuben (who you will see in the video in the second video link below, he's blond) would be Brainy. [Just watch "iWin a Date" ~ Reuben is unfortunately only in that episode if I remember correctly and he's a creepy-freaky Sam stalker, but he was hilarious. "And speaking of crazy flakes -- it's YOU!" -- Sam Puckett to Reuben]

Two Music Vids Made by iCarly Fans to Songs That are Often Used in Hey Arnold! Music Vids:

You Belong With Me -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRIW3QZs7wk

Miss Independent -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPyxD6yhY0Y&

One Hey Arnold fan actually wrote a long letter-like comment on the creator of iCarly's blog (http://danwarp.blogspot.com -- it was a post from a long time ago and very hard to find now unfortunately) that was all about how much she loved iCarly because of all the Hey Arnold! references in the show and how that when some people are told about them they go look up the old show (Hey Arnold!) and more often than not fall in love with it. Unfortunately it happens very rarely that people are actually told about the references because the majority of fans have to know about them before they can even catch them in the show and tell other people about them. But I and that commenter have mentioned the references to a few people over the years -- especially on Twitter.

Now Spongebob is the show I can't stand, but I digress.

So would I (i.e., the convention). It really is a great idea. It would be so awesome to actually "meet" the other HA! fans.
