Implications of Moving the HA! Gang into the 5th Grade - Page 2 Empty Re: Implications of Moving the HA! Gang into the 5th Grade

That confused me too. The pictures are good (especially the Arnold one) but what do they have to do with the topic at hand other than showing a couple of the gang in the fifth grade? And you didn't draw them yourself? I really don't think the artists of those fanart would appreciate the fact that you're posting them on a forum without crediting them. I surely wouldn't appreciate it myself if I was an artist and someone did that to me. I really hope that you're not a troll or a spammer here just to cause trouble. I don't think we allow trolls or spammers here. If I'm jumping to conclusions or being over dramatic then I apologize but your posts really did confuse me. Can you please explain?

But i just said that they're fan arts. I didn't say it was mine or anything.
but on the other hand, I'm sorry. just wanted to show you guys the kinds of art's Hey Arnold fans are making.
i WAS suppose to say that these aren't mine if someone says that they're good. But since you guys already know that I'm not the one who did this, well then no need for me to say it.
You guys should DEFINITELY ask the people who made those art's.

Once again, sorry for posting those.

I think we're mostly just confused. This project is being well advertised and if those artists would like to join then they're totally welcome too, however, we aren't going to go out and heckle people into joining.

There's always reason for you to say that something doesn't belong to you when it comes to art. Even if we realize you didn't make it, you should always present something somebody else made as: "I didn't make this, ______ did. I'm posting it here because ____________."

Always clarify why you are posting something. It just looks really odd to plop art down in the middle of a discussion about other things and not explain why you are doing that. :3

I'm definitely with Squirreltamer on this one. Also, thank you for making yourself a little clearer. Perhaps I was over dramatic about the troll and spammer thing. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Are you interested in joining the staff yourself? Smile

I disagree. I think people should join and participate in this because they want to, not because we're making them. But that's just my opinion. Smile

Yeah, heckling gets annoying. Recruiting and asking people if they want to join is a better strategy.

Hey 88log. I went to check up your registration case and activated it. It says your log-in username is 18log instead of 88log, so that might be the case. You should be able to log in now. Check your email to see if it's correct. Thanks for registering and to everyone else for helping clear up this mess.

P.S. Fanart (that is yours) can be posted in the General Discussion in an appropriate thread. If you're specifically looking for suggestions on how to improve your art, then "Artwork for Feedback" is the appropriate sub-forum. Other than that, thanks for registering! See you on the forums.

Edit: And no heckling! D:<

Hellerick, we can definitely always ask someone if they'd be interested in joining this project, but the last thing we want to do is get pushy with them. People don't take kindly to people telling them what they should or should not do.

Basically, just don't be a dick. If you ask someone to join and they say no. Drop it. We don't want to harass anyone. We're doing this for FUN - it's not supposed to be a do or die sort of thing.

Also, 88log, if you registered with an email address like Yahoo or Hotmail then the email could have been accidentally sent to your spam email folder. Smile Try checking there if your email account has a spam folder. That might have been the problem as well.

"Hey I like your work! It reminds me how the actual show was drawn. Damn, I muss it. You know, I participate in Hey Arnold! 6th Season project, we want to make HA!-based comics. Do you want to join us? I would love to see you there." — that's what I call heckling.

That's what confused us, Hellerick. You're definition of heckling is way different from most people.

Hey, whatever works for you, call it what you want.
A rose by any other name would still not taste very good.

Your definition of heckling, Hellerick, does sound very different, like funnybones said. Here's what I found on the word "heckling" on www.dictionary.com:

–verb (used with object)
1. to harass (a public speaker, performer, etc.) with impertinent questions, gibes, or the like; badger.

So heckling is like

"Hey I like your work! It reminds me how the actual show was drawn. Damn, I miss it. You know, I participate in Hey Arnold! 6th Season project, we want to make HA!-based comics. Do you want to join us? No thanks, I'm kinda looking for something else. Cmon you'll be a great asset to the team! No I really can't I'm sorry. Just join us, you'll have lots of fun! I'm sorry i can't ok, don't ask me again."

that heckling ?

Used Hellerick's example but kinda changed it . . . hehe

somehow I think you can do in chronological order. Arguably, the sixth season begins after the first movie, but before TJM, I think there would be no problems .. I do not think is bad who are in 5th grade because I do not really seem to change anything the characters and story, only avoid the progress in Helga/Arnold relations and the journal.

Yeah, moving them to the 5th grade shouldn't be too big of a deal. Nothing too "OMG EVERYTHING IS NOW DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT NOW". Only minor details are changed.
