Another Mr. Smith ep.

It would be really really cool if there was another Mr. Smith episode made. He only showed up for two episodes in the first season (despite the assertion CB made at one point that he still lived at the Sunset Arms) and only had one episode that had him as a major player (the episode where Arnold has to bring him his box). He brought a really cool James Bond vibe to the series and one of the many episodes that have Arnold and Gerald working together to solve a case. What I'm thinking is

1. Quick flashes of a period of days: Arnold is shown giving Mr. Smith his breakfast or mail. And then one day, he sees Mr. Smith suddenly disappear and then realizes he's late on paying his rent which causes Arnold to notice his absence.
2. Arnold spies some suspicious guys hovering around the neighborhood: 3 in number, tall and maybe a bit built, fedora hats, sunglasses, black suits--the works. He overhears them say that they're searching for Mr. Smith, which causes Arnold and Gerald to try to find and save Mr. Smith.
3. After various failed attempts to find and warn Mr. Smith, they and the guys spy him in the street and they both try to catch him. But Mr. Smith escapes in a cool way--like running into the sunroof of a speeding car. The guys give up and mysteriously disappear.
4. Later on, Arnold receives a mysterious note from Mr. Smith (like he gets a knock on his door and finds the note or it floats into his room complete with a parachute or some other means). And it thanks Arnold and explains that the guys were delivering something for him--like a comic book or something random. As Arnold finishes the end of the letter it spontaneously combusts. Arnold smiles and then it finishes.

I just got hit with this idea but I like it. Mr. Smith is my favorite among the boarders and like I said, he had only one episode that showed how cool he is. Plus, it is a good way of showing the James Bond/Hardy aspects of the series. And it shows the "Arnold and Gerald solve a mystery" dynamic. I can't draw or write but would not mind being presented with ideas and even being consulted for ideas about the chase. Let me know.

You mean about being Patty's uncle? Oh no, I'm just presuming it, judging on the same last names. It could be turned into a surprise for Arnold of some kind.

Oh, that would be cool. But then again Smith is like the most common last name of them all, but it could totally work. (Goes off to ponder plot points.)
