Signed Annomymes (did I write it correctly?)

Have you noticed that Helga's poems are always written her name on them but Mr.Simmons says written by ann(grrr, you get the point). Why would he do that? Now that Helga confessed that she writes poetry when Simmons reads one of them again will Arnold notice it's about him? Will a Poem accidentally fall into Arnold's hands? Find out next time. LOL XD. But seriously what do you think?

I remeber when on an episode it read "Helga Pataki" at the top of her paper but then in the middle of it she wrote "By Annomynes" (lol I dont know how to spell it either).So I think thats why he says "that word".

So anyway, about the anonymous thing... Mr. Simmons is perfectly aware of Helga's discomfort when it comes to showing her better side, so he purposely says by "Anonymous" even though she put her actual name on the paper, not "Anonymous". He probably noticed her crouching down in her desk in embarrassment once when he was ABOUT to say her name, and quickly switched over to "Anonymous". Or he could have just noticed that she was attempting to maintain a false reputation as a bully, so he automatically assumed she would become greatly embarrassed and/or angry if he revealed that she wrote beautiful poetry.

Mr. Simmons is a kind teacher and always respects his students' wishes. So it's no wonder he says by "Anonymous" every time he wants to read one of her poems aloud. I think it's very flattering and sweet that he enjoys her poetry enough to want to share it with the rest of the class.

This is more of a side note, I don't believe it to be true, but I find it interesting. I read in a fanfic once, it was a flashback, basically, of when Helga was back in first grade.

Her teacher had wanted to read her poem aloud, so naturally, she had decided to do so. But she noticed Helga's great embarrassment so she decided against it at the last minute. Then after class, she asked for Helga to stay after so she could speak with her. So Helga stays and everyone leaves and the teacher addresses her great displeasure in having it be public knowledge that the big, mean first grade bully writes poetry. She told the younger Helga to write her name on the paper, but then directly above her name, to put "Anonymous", so if any of her future teachers wanted to read her poetry aloud to the class, they'd know to say by "Anonymous".

I found that to be very interesting. But, I believe it was in the episode "Helga's love potion', they show a close up on one of Helga's poems right before Mr. Simmons reads it. It does NOT have "Anonymous" written at the top, it simply shows her name. Mr. Simmons takes out the poem and announces that he'd like to read it, then hesitates before saying her name (Insert close up on paper here), and then he says it's by "Anonymous". So that proves that theory to be wrong.

I believe Mr. Simmons is simply being understanding to Helga and going along with her bully rep.

Actually, Helga used to sign anonymous even before Mr Simmons arrives: in Arnold's Valentine Ruth says something like (I don't remember the exact sentence): "Of course I know who anonymous is, he always writes poems. ".
Well, actually we don't really know if it was Helga but... "Poem" "Anonymous"... sounds like it's her (I noticed that detail when I watch that ep after finishing the whole serie).

But there are actually MANY poems written by "Anonymous" people. So that was derived from that as a sort of joke.

Plus, she's a sixth grader, not a fourth grader, so how would she hear Helga's poems? Simmons is the only teacher that reads Helga's poem specifically to the fourth grade class.

So that would be highly unlikely.

Hmmm... that's true. I didn't thought about it... For some reasons I just imagined that some poems were read in front of the whole school.

What if Helga does sign it Anonymous and then Arnold bumps into Mr.Simmons and as they are sorting out who's paper is who's Arnold accidentally picks up Anonymous' paper (Helga) and he reads it outloud. Helga overhears him and realizes that its hers.Arnold goes to his house and reads it again he relizes that what the poem is talking about is him (Helga wrote: "those eyes are vast green plains in which I wish for one day to live in with my beloved" refers to Arnolds green eyes (lol I dunno some sort of Helga-ish poem) XD ). He tries to find out who wrote it or see if its the little pink book's owner while Helga is trying everything to stop him from finding out who's it is. And Helga is all giddy (Im not sure if its a real word but something that means jumpy) when she sees,hears,talks about and to Arnold.

P.s THAT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO MANY FLOWERS!

Why don't we put a scene where yet again she sleeps in an uncomfortable place? what if Helga accidently picked up Arnoldo's diary which is the same color as her English notebook and they switch (but Helga's notebook is new so she didn't write her name in it and only has 1 poem in it! It would be nice to read Arnoldo's diary too I mean they should get even he read her personal thoughts now she gets to read his!

I LOVE DIARY OF A WIMPY KID! That's my favorite book series! I've read every one! And they're making it into a movie now too, which I WILL be seeing.

Well, if you need any help with the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" references, then of course I'll help. =D

Now what is the story about?!

Basically it's about some wimpy kid who thinks he's better than everyone. He states several times that he will one day be famous, but he never says what for. He's not the nicest kid. He takes advantage of his best friend a lot. And if I recall correctly, he didn't even WANT to become friends with him. His name is Greg, by the way. And his best friend's name is Rowley. There's also some really weird kid in there named Fregley. He's... very strange.

Anyway, he has an older brother who likes to jerk him around and is in a band called "Loded Diper". Purposely misspelled, because his idiot older brother thinks it's cool.

Greg has, over all, good intentions for almost everything he does. The books are all written to look like a diary, so the books are about many different things happening to Greg. His mom bought him a diary, but he insists it's a journal even though the title on the book says "Diary"

His father wants him to be more athletic, so he signs him up to be on the swim team all Summer in one of his books. Greg is NOT athletic... at ALL! Hence the name, "Diary of a WIMPY kid"

He's also in middle school. Um... yeah...

The books have Greg going through TONS of little adventures. So... to sum up the WHOLE book is kinda hard.

No, that's enough. Let's see in Diary Of A Nice Kid we could change it a little he does have best friend but see he's "nice" so he wouldn't act like Greg and we could then let Arnold and Helga bump so then Arnold would take her new note book and she would take his Diary that looks exactly like Helga's notebook except it has his name on, Helga's notebook only has one poem inside and is still new so she didn't write her name in the front either. So would that be OK?

also on some of the pages of the book he draws a small cartoon

yeah that effect could be great! I can't wait to see Helga's face when she finds out she has his diary!
