P.S 118 Mythology

This came to my mind after I drew Helga saying "This is Sparta!" lol Im random. XD Anyways P.S 119 steals P.S 118's something sometning of something. P.S 118 use like a Pandoras box trick (a.k.a Neideens box of bugs) or trojan horse to get the something something of something (ssos for short). They insted accidentaly steal P.S 119's ssos and they either trade or somehow play capture the flag.

What's capture the flag? :S

Anyway, I actually can say more... I like this idea. It will be really colorful and imaginative episode. We could combine a lot of different Greek myths(I think all the one you mentioned were greek... i don't think there were any roman in there) so were you thinking it could be kinda like "what opera Arnold" where the characters were put in different costumes and different times and it could all be really a dream. Or maybe, you know in rugrats where the baby's would imagine something, but then you would see it from a different perspective and it would be some normal household idem instead of treasure or whatever.

Wait- didn't they already have an episode where they did the Trojan horse thing? I haven't seen that epi in years so im not sure...

Really which epi is that? Anyway could we do the Greek myth Medusa's head? I really loved that one! I don't know, Wait! I just have an idea that just popped into my mind!

Remember in what's opera Arnold they slept through the whole thing yet knew everything that was going to happen?

We could do that but not an opera it could be Mr.Simmons explaining Medusa's head to the class and we could go into each classmate's head and see one clip at a time.

I imagine Helga's clip for her to day dream about her being the Ethiopian princess and Arnold being Perseus and saving her from the god of the sea it would be funny to see Helga with flowing black hair and dark skin but the same face LOL!

Oooo I like that idea Helga3ever. I like Mr Simmons telling a greek legend and the different kids in the class imagining their own parts. And I think there are a lot of different characters involved in that story. Research time... doesn't the hero that slays Medusa granted like three gifts so he can complete the task or something? Eh, its been a while since I've heard that story.

Oh and I think the episode with the Trojan horse is the one with the pig war... maybe?

Anyway Perseus went to the phordieas grr whatever sisters and he had to take their one eye and tooth until they told him the directions to the nemphis grr (takes out book)

Aah hre it is! He goes to the sisters of Phorcides and stole their one eye that they share until they told where he could find the nymphs and the the nymphs gave him the hat of darkness (it gave him the power of invisibility), winged sandals (the ability to fly), and a knap sack (which can hold Medusa's head) Athene already gave him a bright shield and her brother will give him a sword so he can see the reflection of Medusa in the sword because if he sees her she will turn him to stone!

That's enough thinking for today!

in class I read a story (comic) about that and it showed all the blood and inners and ew but im not sure how we can somehow cut off the head although they did that with the Headless Cabbie thing.

I just drew her sayind "This is Sparta" so then it reminded me of such and I posted it!.

Capture the flag is game where there is a boundary in the middle. There are two teams on each side. One team has to get the opposite team's flag. So it means a member or members of that team must cross the boarder and get the flag. If they get caught then they are taken to "Jail" or they can escape by either escaping the grasp of the the other teams members or a member from your team frees you. If you get the flag then you have to run back to your area withought being caught.

It gonna be the whole class, part of the class, or Helga dreaming this?

I remember how it was P's (I can't type his name its soooooooooooooooo long) father who kicked out him and his mother. lol on the comic it had P's dad telling P's mom "I told you to have a girl" XD I cracked up!!!!!!!

Who the heck is everyone gonna be or can we mix greek and roman myth plotline together? It would be interesting to mix myths and see what we come uo with.

Given that I'm a huge fan of Greek mythology, I adore this idea. I have to wonder, though, who would be Medusa? Let's face it, if it's Arnold's dream, it's almost guaranteed to have to be Helga...Or perhaps you could blend in even more mythology for fun?

Looking forward to seeing this fleshed out more!

I'm a huge fan of greek Mythology too. I don't know about mixing it with Roman though... it seems like Mr. Simmons would teach only one at a time. I also don't know that much Roman mythology and I feel that the greek stories are better known. Like most people know about Hercules and who Medusa is... or at least the basics.

I think we should go through more then one person's daydream. I agree that in Arnold's perspective on the story Helga would probably end up being Medusa. But in Helga's she might be the one true love of the hero (Arnold) in the story. We could mix different greek myths, I think that might have a cool effect. Like Gerald randomly appears and he is Hercules or something and helps Perseus(arnold) defeat Medusa. Or maybe a more subtle mixing of the myths.

No, I think we should only use 4 characters (Gerald, Phoebe, Arnold, and Helga) Or if you want we could use the whole class. LOL brainy would probably be day dreaming about .... (I don't know, he has always been a mystery to me)

And I don't think Arnold hate Helga that much to imagine her Medusa, Maybe Lila could be Medusa LOL that would be funny maybe his subconscious once again would try to tell him Helga is perfect for him. And then when he wakes up he would stare at Helga confused.
That would be funny (snickers).

I don't know maybe we should stick to one myth to not confuse the audience.

P.S. Now I'm taking Baucis and Philemon

Maybe we can make lot's of myths but not in the same comic?

And a whole different plot like Baucis Philemon could be Gertie and Phil and Zues and Hermes could be Arnold and Gerald?

I love this idea, I think we should do it!

I am studying mythology after that we are taking legends! YAY! But I'm NOT STUDYING THIS ON History! It's in literature! I'm confused :S

I just read the story to Baucis and Philemon and I loved it, although... how will we show them destroying everyone without actually destroying everyone?

um the story doesn't include destroying.

Can some one re-cap me on the myth ideas we might be using?
