New kid on the block
Hello everybody!
JerRocks2day here and I've been coming down with a mood of Hey Arnold reruns that I've been watching on youtube.
When I heard about the proposed Jungle Movie that was postponed after the failure of the last movie, I was pretty bummed out that this movie did not get greenlight. Then I discovered the forums here and was really surprised to see that this fan comic is in the works.
I'm really interested in learning more about the process and may consider helping out. May is the keyword. Like everybody else, I'm really busy with college work and currently registering for classes, and working on comic projects on my own.
The truth of the matter is that I'm not sure how much I can help out, but I am always open.
I am an experienced cartoonist and aspiring graphic novelist. Currently, I'm working on a Gideon comic for my Old Testament class, and have worked on other college endeavors such as 'Knight of the Burning Pestle' as set designer; cartooning for college paper; and contributions to my college magazine.
I'm trying to get as much opportunities to the real world as possible, but while I do that, I think I may want to help out.
See you soon.
Jer!

Re: New kid on the block
Hi Jer!
Thanks for joining us here on the forums and your curiosity! If you haven't explored the site much yet, I can point you out in the direction of where to learn more. The first is our information website, which you can find here: http://ha6s.wordpress.com/. It gives you a bit of the information on how the project works, and some updates of our comic projects. If you go to our home page on this forums, Announcements and Registering as a Staff Member will also give you additional information.
Currently, what you see on the forums is obviously not everything that is there, as there are information that is only privy to HA6S registered staff members. As a staff member, you can explore a bit more about the existing projects we have and such. The sub-forum titled "Registering as a Staff Member" should give you more information on this.
As you may have noticed, this forum is unfortunately low on activity, as it is on hiatus. If we find that there is enough interest in this project again, I will be more than happy to put in the additional effort needed to kickstart this project again.
Thanks again!
Tendra

Re: New kid on the block
Okay. I'm going to try to register as a staff member over the week I have off from Thanksgiving.
Anyway, in case you guys want to see my art blog-- I haven't been able to post the link yet due to the fact that I'm a new member. But I will give you the link like this...

Just translate it as an HTML link and you'll see what I got.

Artwork looks fantastic, Jer! I love the variety you have in your artwork and especially loved the drawings of hands you had there. I will register you in one quick moment!
Re: New kid on the block
Thank you! I've been drawing a lot of illustration spots for my college paper, and some Intro to Visual Arts homework, so I haven't had as much time to really dig back and reexamine the human anatomy this semester-- but I hope after school's out, I'll start looking back in my books.
Also, when Spring semester comes up, I may be a bit busy, but not as busy as this semester since I'm participating in a college play as a designer (possibly an actor). Because I'm gonna be taking a screenwriting class, I'm going to take advantage of how I write scripts as possible.
I think this winter break, while I work on a script for another project I'm working on, I'm going to try to write the script for my first HA story. Being that I've been rewatching the show a lot, I want to refamiliarize myself with the show's tone as possible.

Sounds great! You definitely have some interesting activities coming up for you. Again, this is a very flexible project, so do whatever best suits your schedule well. Thanks for letting me know, though!
