HA Tech update?

Has anyone noticed that Arnold's technology is a bit... old now?

His computer has a floppy disk (though a pretty awesome interface, really), cell phones have little tiny screens that only show the number, there's no texting, he still has a little CRT TV in his room, a cassette-tape answering machine, no-one e-mails each other...

Should HA6S have modern, 2010s tech, or the same stuff as originally?

Great suggestion to touch up upon. Our sixth season episodes takes place in the 5th grade, so just 1 yr after the "90's" era that the original HA! took place in. It's probably a good idea to upgrade their technology, but probably not by too much (e.g. beepers to the older cell phones, not to the iPhones we have today). Too much culture shock for our characters, I think. Though it might be pretty funny to have an episode where our 1990s characters dream about what 2011 would look like.

Hey that sounds like a pretty great idea. I wonder what they think 2011 would be like to them.

Hmm... yeah, I've always wondered about the technology in Hey Arnold. Now that eight years have passed since the show, it definitely seems out of date. xD

I guess it also depends on who our audience is, like the age group. Though, I kinda don't expect anybody born after '98 to read these comics...

Yeah, for the most part I say we keep the 90s-esque technology. Since the show ended in the 2000s, we could probably have a few modern things, but not TOO modern. No iPods, but CD players, yes. XD

Well... the first iPod was released in November 2001. They had the clicky (not touch) wheel. Maybe Lorenzo can have one, and everyone else has a CD player (wait... Arnold already has one).

And maybe Rhonda and Peapod kid (I just love Peapod kid) could have a cell phone.

Well, Lorenzo had a cell phone in the actual show. Sid "borrowed" it and broke it.

I know.. but he was the kid who had EVERYTHING. Rhonda and Peapod kid were just rich.
