Hillwood's snowstorm, and everyone goes to Sunset Arms?

I thought of Hillwood getting a huge severe snow storm (worse than in the Snow episode) and everyone goes to Arnold's place because the boarding house is the only building with electricity and heat. And no one can play outside because of telephone poles break, and it could be hazardous, etc.

Of course Helga would love this because she gets to go to Arnold's house for a few days (but so does the rest of the class). Kinda based on the Arthur episode The Blizzard http://www.tv.com/arthur/the-blizzard---the-rat-who-came-to-dinner/episode/48160/summary.html . The class and their families help each other in making food, lighting a fire, like a tribe kind of thing. It's kind of hard to explain, but I'm not thinking of the Snow episode.

Thoughts, opinions, etc?

I like that idea, but it does sound kind of like The Flood.

Maybe if it was just the main four (along with Grandma/Grandpa and the boarders), rather than the whole class.

How about another four: the Patakis? E.g. Big Bob, Miriam, Helga, and Olga come back from airport (Olga flew back from Alaska), but the snow is so deep, that they realize that they can't get to their house. then Miriam remembers that her friend Suzie Kokoshka lives in a boarding house close to the place their car stuck in, and they can spend the night there.

Now that would be really cool to see.

I would really like to read a fanfic about it, but truth be told I am not sure how it supposed to look in an episode.

Hey Arnold always have references based on movies, shows, etc.

I'd love to see an episode with Helga's and Arnold's family stuck together! Like most other episodes, they'd fight in the beginning (especially big bob and grandpa), and in the end they have to work together for some reason, and grow a bit closer. Not like friends or anything though.. Just realizing that they're not as bad as they first thought.
And lots of opportunities for some cute Helga/Arnold moments ^^
And of course it would be awesome to see some more of the Miriam/Suzie friendship.

Are you sure they all have to be bonding?

I was thinking about Olga... I guess she should spend most time with Grandma: making dinner and playing piano (BTW, did they manage to take the piano into they house? If not, what are they going with it in winter?). But spending time does not mean bonding, maybe the point should be that Olga can't cope with this woman. Grandma seems a good-natured woman and yet she's persistent at trying to ruin all her efforts and turning her perfect performance (cooking etc.) into buffoonery.

Olga: "Everyone.. I made some of my delicious lemon flavored fortune cookies. This was my award winning recipe of college cooking class. I'm sure you'll just LOVE it! Please have one." *gives everyone a cookie*
Everyone: *look at each other, obviously disgusted by the cookies, and some spit it out while making horrible noises*
Olga: "O my.."
Grandma: "These are great, Ophelia! That man-eating tiger gives a nice taste to them!"
Olga: "What man-eating tiger?" O_O

[Supper. Olga notices that Oskar reaches his arm out to her plate.]
Olga: Mr. Kokoshka, if you want more soup, all you have to do is to ask.
Oskar: I don't want more soup, I want my sock. [Pulls out a sock out of her plate] Suzie, I finally found it.
[Olga runs away crying.]

I just LOVE it when her mascara is running.

lol, when I was younger I used to think, "Olga must be pure evil...she cries black tears."

I didn't realize that it was mascara running, but I bet Helga would've agreed with me.

I like this idea because it could give Arnold a better sense to why Helga is always complaining about her family...

1. He could find Mirriam passed out in the kitchen.

2. He could hear Bob yelling at the t.v.

3. He could witness Olga running away crying with her "Black Tears" (LOL! You guys kill me!) running down her face.

And of course Helga could be all, "See what I have to live with?". I think that would be rather entertaining. And Helga would of course be all excited to spend time with Arnold's excentric, but lovable boarding house family. This has a lot of potential to be an extremely funny episode!

1. Bob and Phil yelling at eachother over the remote...

Bob: Come on old timer, I'm gonna miss the wheel!

Phil: Will you stop calling me old! I don't look a day over 87!

Arnold: But Grandpa, you're 81.

Phil: Do I look 81 to you?

Bob: No Gramps, you look very young. By the way, you think you could introduce me to Lincoln sometime? Great... Now give me the stinkin' remote!

(Helga slaps her forhead)

2. Mirriam and Suzie sharing a "Smoothie" and both getting smashed...

Suzie: Thanks for the smoothie, Mirriam! This is delicious!

Mirriam: Mmmhm...

(They both collapse onto the table)

(Helga walks in, see's the scene)

Helga: Criminy! They're multiplying!

3. Olga and Grandma in the kitchen fighting over the "correct" way to make dinner...

Olga: But Gertie, when I attended the (Insert fancy, far away place here), I learned to make this exsquisite dish by mixing together-

Grandma: NONE SENSE SHEILA! When I was out in the jungles last night, I caught this, and it shall be a part of the meal!

Olga: But that's a rat!!! EWWWWWW!!!

Grandma: This rareity will add an extra spice to dinner! Gotta keep them guessing! (Cackles maniacally)

(Arnold and Helga witness this and both look at eachother and then back to the scene of Olga rushing out of the room to puke and Grandma still laughing)

Helga: Your grandma's really growing on me, Football-Head.

Arnold: How so?

Helga: I like anyone who can make Olga's face go green like that. (giggles evilly)

4. Everyone eating dinner together...

(Bobs eating like a pig)

(Everyones staring except for Helga, Mirriam and Olga who are used to it)

Mr.Hynn: (Whispers to Ernie) This is very scary!

Ernie: I know! This guy eats like he's been stranded on a deserted island for the past three years!

Bob: I heard that, Red.

Phil: Now, Now. Let's not go judging Bob just because he eats like Abner.

Bob: Watch it, Oldster.

Ernie: Hey! You can't talk to Grandpa like that!

Bob: Oh yeah well... (Everyone starts yelling at eachother)

(Finally Helga gets fed up and stands up)

Helga: KEEP QUIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Everyone falls silent)

Helga: Good. (Goes back to eating)

Just a recap, okay so they all go to the airport to pick-up Olga but then on their way home the storm hits and their car gets totaled. But then Mirriam is all like, "Oh! B, I have a friend who lives nearby. I'm sure she'd let us stay with her and her family for a while." So then they all head to the boarding house and they get snowed in. So now they're stuck there till the storm subsides.

I really like this idea because of all the potential it has for Arnold ---> Helga developement. After all, he'll be living with her and all. That usually means bonding to some extent. At least in Arnold and Helga's case.

Well, that's all I got.

I like the idea , but if we could it would be cool to conbine this with the "Secrete Santa" episode. I mean whats worse being stuck in a snow storm w/ Helga or being stuck in a snow storm w/ Helga DURING CHRISTMAS! Well this is my Idea.
