Arnold and Helga Falling

Just wanted your opinions on this. I thought we could use it for some advertisement banners or whatever we want further down the way. I keep seeing something off with Helga. I think it's the shape of her head and eyes (they're a little longer or stretched than they are in the show). Is there anything else you guys would probably change?

I think Arnold's ears are a bit big compared to how he's drawn in the show, but otherwise it look great. I'm glad to see a version not smushed into a thumbnail!

L'amour! You're style if very unique and I love it! I don't know how to say that it looks "cartoony" when the original series was a cartoon... but I digress. The artwork is lovely.

If what's bugging you about your drawing is Helga, it's probably her upper lip. Right now her lip is stubby-like. 4th/5th season Helga has her lip a lot more sharper and thinner, extending about an extra 1/4 width of of her head from the edge of her actual head. If that makes sense. Nonetheless I really like the drawing. What program did you use to ink it?

Ah, I didnt notice Arnold's ears. Thats why I love getting fresh new eyes to spot those inconsistencies. Thanks so much pointing that out! Hopefully I'll have some time today to fix that up. I also wanted to add a background, but haven't decided on anything yet. I'll probably just recreate the blue splash they use for the credits, or some abstract pattern.

Thanks both for the compliments and critiques. I really appreciate it. I kept thinking it was the shape of her eyes and face, or the lengthy bangs, but fixing all that, plus the lips might really help!

I use illustrator for lineart, but you can use photoshop and/or sai to make nice clean lines. I just feel more comfortable with illustrator.

I went ahead and colored it after having changed those things you guys pointed out. I just need to figure out what to do with the background now. Thanks for the hep guys.

Edit: Derp, forgot the lines on Arnold's shirt. Guess I'll add that later. Also, any background ideas are welcome. Just keep in a mind I'd like to use it for advertising the sixth season.

That's awesome with the colouring and adjustments!  Looks fantastic!  Originally, I would have suggested a sky background for this pictures... but if it's for advertising for the project (and thanks for that!), perhaps falling through a background of rough comic pages?  E.g. non-fleshed out comic panels, empty word bubbles, etc?  If possible, adding the HA6S logo to a corner of the page would be helpful as well.  Thanks so much for your amazing art!

Oh, the comic book pages is a great idea! I was thinking of making the logo behind them. Since i usually vectorize it, i'll give you the clean version of that logo once i finish it.
