Episode Idea: Futbol-head (Lorenzo)

Here's an idea I had for an episode for quite some time:

Coach Wittenberg is up to his old antics again, and somehow Arnold and the gang find themselves on the soccer team he's coaching.

(Well, more precisely, Mr. Simmons coaches the team, and Wittenberg has to be content with assistant coach.)

When a runaway soccer ball goes for Lorenzo's head but ends up in the goal, Lorenzo is persuaded to join the team.

It is soon revealed that the REAL reason that Lorenzo left Peavine Academy is because of a group of girl bullies that used to harrass him. Will he be able to conquer his fear of his rivals once and for all in the tournament championship game against Peavine Academy?

This is a fantastic idea.

It would be great to see the more aggressive Wittenberg having to take the back seat to Mr. Simmons.

Even the name Futbol Head would make a great title.

That would be a very funny episode! Mr. Simmons as a coach, trying to play nice and fair.. and coach Wittenberg getting all worked up over that 'lame' method.

I think it's a wonderful idea! It would be great to have another episode focusing on Lorenzo and why he had to leave his other school. There aren't that many episodes that even have Lorenzo.

Of course we should not forget about Lorenzo's main problem: his overloaded schedule. It's difficult to play fútbol and speak over the cell phone in the same time.

My thought was that his mother would actually approve of the idea when approached by Mr. Simmons. Perhaps there is suddenly a gap in Lorenzo's schedule that happens to coincide with soccer practice (maybe his personal trainer eloped with his cello instructor, lol). That could explain why he's at the soccer field in the first place when the soccer ball is about to strike him; Arnold could invite him to watch them play..

Or perhaps she is concerned for his well-being and sees it as an opportunity to build his self-esteem and confidence. Maybe he USED to play soccer at Peavine Academy, but because of the abuse that he suffered there, he decided to abandon the sport.

I can definitely see Lorenzo's mother thinking it's a good idea and being supportive of it. She could also, among those other things, see it as a way to build up his social skills as well. He would be playing a game with a bunch of other kids afterall. If he was picked-on at his first school then while his mom is trying to encourage it, he would probably be not too happy about it. It would lead to some interesting tension between he and his mom. He could make excuses to her about his schedule this and his schedule that and his mom could tell him "Don't you remember that your trainer and your cello instructor got married? You have plenty of time!" He may sigh and do it just to make her happy at first but end-up enjoying it in the end.

Maybe Lorenzo would hate it first and tell his mom or his team that he doesn't wanna play soccer anymore, but then afterwards he just appears for a game/tournament/championships and wins the game !
Then a photo of the team with Lorenzo in the front row would make a good ending scene
