HA6S Trailer Team
We're looking for some people to help out with the advertisers in order to make a HA6S theatrical trailer (we'd also like to eventually do some smaller teaser trailers, but one step at a time). You don't need to be listed as an advertiser in order to help, but you do need to be a registered HA6S staff member.
Here are some roles (and their definitions) we have open:
If you want to do something that I haven't listed, feel free to bring it up. There has been some discussion about the HA6S theatrical trailer here: https://ha6s.forumotion.com/advertisements-f8/ha6s-theatrical-trailer-and-logo-t157-32.htm
Nothing in that discussion is concrete yet, so if you have something you'd like to say, don't be afraid to speak up
Edit
Here's who we have so far:
Here are some roles (and their definitions) we have open:
- Artists -- This is a huge role because the trailer will be all original artwork. We will probably need multiple artists. We can also use some clips of the unfinished comics.
- Editors -- This role is involved with video and/or sound editing.
- Writer -- Works closely with the editors and artists to write a short, effective, and "to the point" script for the trailer.
- Voice Overs -- Involved with recording a voice over (i.e. narration) for the trailer.
- Distributors -- The final video will be posted on the HA6S Youtube page, but the video can also be placed on a blog, myspace page, etc. People involved with distribution will be responsible for getting the trailer out so the public can see it.This is another role for multiple people.

Edit
Here's who we have so far:
- Artists: Tendra, danettemarie, Lyxy, Retromanka, Silencer13
- Editors: funnybones, ger5632, Annemiek
- Writer: Dpshrineinclosetgirl
- Voice Overs: funnybones
- Distributors: Tendra (need a few more distributors)

Cool!
I can help as Artist and Distributor.
I have some original sketches that I can contribute
E.g.
And remember that we can always take zoomed out screenshots of the script we have so far for our pilot episode. For example, the thumbnailed page layout for Page 26

Re: HA6S Trailer Team
That would be great! Maybe we could do some photo-shopping like what Squirreltamer did-- https://ha6s.forumotion.com/want-ads-f3/need-someone-with-photoshop-skills-or-equivilant-to-edit-t-t219.htm -- to make it look like it's all been printed out. Then, we could add some rough "hand written" edits/sketches in the margins.
Tendra, would it be possible for you to save the sketches somewhere outside of the forum and then post the link? For me, only half of the sketch shows up when it's posted directly into the forum.

funnybones021 wrote:Okay, cool. Quick question; what video editing software do you use?
I'm used to using WMM. But right now. But I do have the Sony Vegas programme and I'm trying to get use to it

Ok. I think you're the only person who has Vegas. I do all of my video stuff on WMM too (because I'm too cheap to buy anything like Vegas or After Effects lol).
Depending on what we decide to do we can probably do the bulk of the editing in WMM and just use Vegas for any special edits that WMM doesn't have.

Linkage! http://tendraheyarnold.wordpress.com/files/2009/04/stinky-0011.jpg
I can always scan in some notes I made about the show. They're not directly related to the pilot episode, but HA! in general and some ideas I have down for future episodes.
And I'll make sure to take pictures of some of the work-in-progress I have when I'm watercolouring backgrounds. But that won't be done for quite a while (at least not in time for this advertisement), but we can use those for future advertisements.

Linkage! Grazie, perfetto!
My idea for the stuff written in the margins was to make it look like the original script was looked over and changed a few times by the writers (maybe a line or two could be crossed out and replaced with a new hand-written line). Maybe even some stick figures or doodles on the page by some bored writers during a meeting or something. It can be completely made up if you want it to. Something more for show, than for practical purposes. Of course, if you have something else in mind, that would be great too.

Re: HA6S Trailer Team
We can totally do the hand-written editing thing. Here's one that I did in the summer, where I was making notes on how to adapt Squirreltamer's fantasy story idea she proposed a year ago.

Re: HA6S Trailer Team
hey, since you guys need a writer I'll attempt to write a short script if you want. "Attempt" the real word here but maybe i'll make a few different versions and you guys can tell me which one you like or which part of it you like.

We're actually almost finished with this trailer, but we do need a few art pieces to finish it up. So, if you'd like to work on that, we could definitely use your help.
First of all you should get caught up with where we are in the trailer. So, if you could read through the thread titled Trailer Script/Artwork which can be found in the Advertisements section of the forum, that should get you all caught up.
Also, as soon as I get done writing this post, I'll upload the latest version of the trailer to that same thread; and I'll also mention a few things that need still need to be done. Feel free to download and watch the trailer, and then read my notes in the post about what still needs to be done.
Thanks!
