Stuck/Stranded
One of the trademark subjects of HA! is the motive of being stuck/stranded. We can remember Arnold being stuck with Eugene in "Stuck in a Tree" and "Roller Coaster"; Helga and Miriam stuck in the middle of nowhere in "Road Trip"; whole class in "Flood"; Helga and Harold in "Buses, Bikes, and Subways"; Helga and Arnold in "Biosquare" + some other similar episodes.
On FanfictionNet forum me, The J.A.M., and BunniGirl were discussing the idea of being stranded on Elk Island: http://www.fanfiction.net/topic/5100/13901611/1/
Any other ideas of who and where could get stuck?

Re: Stuck/Stranded
I really like the idea of someone being stranded on Elk Island. Maybe even Arnold and Helga, just like you were talking about in the forum. Although, like you said there has already been an Arnold/Helga stuck episode with biosquare.
I would like to see at least one good Arnold/Helga episode in this season, though. Everyone keeps talking about giving other characters their moments to shine, which is great, but I don't want to see Arnold and Helga completely abandoned.

Re: Stuck/Stranded
I completely agree with you, funnybones021. I've always loved Arnold/Helga and when the show was on the air, I looked forward to episodes about them.
I'm kind of iffy about the concept of another episode of characters being stuck and stranded. It feels like that premise might be overdone to the point of being predictable. Kind of formulaic, if you will. I think our audience might say "what? This again?"

Re: Stuck/Stranded
I think it never gets old
Like BunniGirl said being stranded on Elk Island sounds so natural... that it's difficult to believe that it has not happened yet.
Maybe we should try some very different characters? Like the boarders? They could get lost in the tunnels (the ones we saw in the movie) and be saved by Abner.

Re: Stuck/Stranded
Or the whole 4th/5th (?) graders get stuck and we can do one of those flashback episodes where we recall all our favourite moments in HA!
And speaking of Arnold and Helga, I hope someone is coming up with an episode on them xD

Oh, I would love Helga/Arnold episodes as well! But I know that people will run away with Helga/Arnold and leave other stuff behind unless we push for it.
But yeah, we do need some good Helga/Arnold moments. :3

Re: Stuck/Stranded
I agree, Arnold/Helga is what made the show this big. We really need at least one mind blowing, super awesome Helga/Arnold episode ^^
And yes, it does need a very good story, not just 'trying to get as many A/H moments as possible into one episode'.

Agreed. I don't think being stranded on Elk island is special enough. I see something like that as more of a comedic episode.

Re: Stuck/Stranded
Lol yeah it might be a good parody episode of Lord of the Flies x]
If anyone doesn't know the Lord of the Flies novel, The Simpson's made a parody episode about it called "Das Bus", another parody of the movie "Das Boot" and you can see it here http://www.wtso.net/movie/11-The%20Simpsons%20914%20Das%20Bus.html
but its way different from the novel
SHORT SUMMARY
In the novel, the kids were in a plane and crash landed on an unknown island. The choir boys and the students (no girls) survived, but all the adults died.
After about 2 months, as the kids lose hope of any rescue, the leader of the Choir boys decided to make his own, and better tribe. The Choir boys and some of the students joined him except for 3 students, including a kinda fat nerdy kid with asthma who still has hope of getting rescued. The two tribes later on became rivals and as the other tribe became crazy because they thought the 3 kids were stealing their food, they tried to kill them. They killed Piggy (the fat nerdy kid which they call Piggy, but in The Simpsons, he's Millhouse), but the two other kids got away somehow. Afterward though, they were later saved by an American Lieutenant officer (it was the time the American's were fighting the Soviets).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
its COMPLETELY different from The Simpsons.
but anyways, back to the story, Tendra lead me here and i forgot about this idea x]
So this WOULD be a good parody episode about Lord of The Flies.
Unless you guys wanna make it an Arnold and Helga episode
