GIANT HEY ARNOLD! FAN CHAT NEXT SATURDAY!!!

HEY!

So in ONE WEEK I am (sort of) going to be hosting a SUPER AWESOME Hey Arnold! Fan Chat!!!

Sadly, Craig Bartlett will NOT be attending. If someone wants to take it upon themselves to set up a chat with him, be my guest, but I don’t really have the energy or want to finagle Craig into a chat. Though, it wouldn’t be a terrible idea since Dinosaur Train is taking off.

Allow me to give you all some details:

WHO - YOU! Also, with any luck, a ton of other HA! fans much like yourself who are in the mood to reminisce about how awesome HA! is.

TIME - 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (you’ll have to figure out the conversions on your own, kiddies)

WHY - Because Hey Arnold! is still awesome and because people interacting is great and because our fandom could really use a boost. We’ve been a little too quiet as of late. LET’S MAKE SOME NOISE!!!

I have a quick question about the time (and I'm sorry if it sounds like nitpicking, but I know that some states don't observe daylight savings time so I'll ask just for clarification.)
Is it really going to be Eastern Standard Time, or is it going to be Eastern Daylight Time?

This is a good question! One that I don't actually know the answer to!

We do observe daylight savings time in PA, but I'm not sure when daylight savings actually ends this year. :\

I'm really bad at time conversions.

Ok, it will be Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), then. Daylight savings time doesn't end until November 1st this year (really late for some reason).

They switched it up like a year or so ago, I think. Something about conserving energy? IDK.

I used this tool, I think it calculates the daylight savings time as well..

And.. I used location New York (EDT there, right?)..

Er...

That's why I like GMT.

That's a pretty handy little tool Annemiek. I know the conversions between U.S. time zones, but that tool has a conversion for almost everywhere.
I tested it out between my own time (Pacific) and New York (Eastern), it was a 3 hour difference (as it should be) and it does account for daylight savings time. It even gives you the corresponding GMT.

I'm definitely going to bookmark that page. Thanks!

Im sorry but is eastern time the same as U.S.A. time don't think I'm stupid I'm still 12!
if it is like U.S.A. then wher in U.S.A. Calfornia L.A. plz give me the exact location, and besides geography ism't my favorite lesson english is.

There are 4 main time zones in the U.S. (not counting Alaska or Hawaii).

Eastern Time is the time on the East Coast of the U.S.

So New York, Boston, Miami, etc. would all be cities in the Eastern Time zone.

Does that make sense?

Edit:
Los Angeles, CA is in the Pacific Time zone. So when it's 8:00 pm Eastern Time, it will be 5:00 pm Pacific Time.
