Let's Pull the HA6S Out of Hiatus!
Hi all,
So! About a year ago in Oct 2012, the HA6S project was officially put on hiatus. Since that official announcement (and even before then), I've been really touched by everyone who has asked about the status of the project and the possibility of restarting it. After some consideration, I want to do exactly that. I want to pull the HA6S project officially out of hiatus. But I need your help!
We have lost some major activity on our forums compared to when we first started the project, as well as some of our previous active members. Therefore, I believe that recruitment (especially of artists) is crucial. I've started this step by moving our old HA6S introductory website (i.e. the ha6s.wordpress.com site) to a newer site. There's two reasons for this. 1) The new weebly site is a lot user friendly for new members, and much more cleaner for anyone to navigate through. 2) I've gotten old, forgotten most of my html coding skills, and the weebly site is easier to manage and update (sorry, reason #2 less of a dramatic reason). Nonetheless, please check it out at ha6s.weebly.com. It will have a poll to gauge people's interests. As well, this site will be our new location for members to register. Please give any feedback or suggestions for the site, as it is still under major construction.
For those old members, I would like them to re-register at the ha6s.weebly.com site. That is simply for me to gauge the interest in this project, and to better coordinate the members that are active. Your account and status as a staff member will not be affected if you do not re-register, but it would be highly helpful for me to plan how to rejump this project.
Any feedback on how to improve the original HA6S project would be appreciated. I am specifically interested in:
1) What did you like about the project, and how can we maintain interest and activity in the project.
2) What improvements were needed (e.g. what was difficult about being a part of this project, what did you like to see but didn't see, etc.)
3) How we can better coordinate the project so that we are more effective as a team to produce this greatly wanted comics.
4) What we need to do to rejump this project from hiatus
For me, personally, I would really like to see at least 1 episode project fully completed. Our pilot episode project (the Snapshot Kid) has a considerable amount of work on it, as several pages are already made. Jerrocks2day has been working very diligently on his own 5-part episode project called Superficial, and has made a lot of considerable progress in developing the storyline for this project. Ideally, I would like new/returning staff members to focus on these two projects so that we can be all coordinated and producing these wonderful pages that we HA! fans deserve. What are other people's thoughts?
If you can spread this out to the HA! community (especially the art communities), you have received my infinite love (not that you haven't already). Again, thank you all for your support, both past and present. You guys are so awesome.
Much love,
Tendra

Re: Let's Pull the HA6S Out of Hiatus!
Hey Tendra!
Thanks so much for shouting out the project. I think this project deserves more recognition so that the 'Superficial' story isn't the only comic to be focused on.
I could also use a lot of beta readers for part 1 of the script. If any members are reading this-- please check out part 1 on the forum's 'general discussion' page.

Re: Let's Pull the HA6S Out of Hiatus!
Hi Jer,
No, thank you! While I am redesigning the forum and weebly page, I will also make note that the Superficial project will have its own sub-forum too. I'll let you know when that happens.
