British Invasion (New Episode/Character idea) Empty British Invasion (New Episode/Character idea)

Not sure about the episode name, right now...

Basically, the story is that a new kid called Daniel has just moved from England to America (this doesn't mean he has a stereotypical posh accent...) with his parents (the parents aren't going to be focused on very much in this episode). They come to Hillwood and stay in a room Arnolds boarding house (possibly temporarily while they look for a house to move in to), which coincidently is also the room Dino Spumoni always used in the show (The one with the piano). Daniel has short blond hair that covers his ears, and a fringe covering his foreheard and stopping a bit before his eyes. He wears thin framed round glasses.
The episode starts with him and his parents being greeted into the boarding house by Grandpa (Grandma could possibly interrupt with some outlandish act, causing Daniel and his parents to glance at each other awkwardly) and being led to their room. Arnold tries talking to Daniel to greet him and get to know him, but Daniel acts quite shy and seems to have trouble keeping a conversation going. After an awkward silence, he retreats into his new room.

It then goes to the next day, showing Daniel on his way to his first day of school, going with Arnold. They still don't talk too much. They get on the bus and end up going to sit at seperate seats. Rhonda instantly labels him as a geek and sends him to the back of the bus when he tries to sit at the front, saying she'll let him off for today as "you obviously don't get how things work around here".

They get to school and in class Mr Simmons announces him. He goes and sits down. It then shows several short clips of moments throughout the day. Daniel is shown to have difficulty concentrating on the lessons and keeps drifting off into his own thoughts. At one point he is shown humming a few notes, then gets a notebook out of his pocket and scribbles something down quickly. You do not see what he writes on the notebook. The next clip shows them doing a maths test, and Daniel looking very bored. A couple more class clips are shown before the bell rings and everyone leaves the class. There could possibly some students talking in the background about him as they walk home (probably Rhonda and her friends, saying something like "Some new addition he is... he might as well not actually be here. I mean, can he actually do anything?" and her friends would all agree about how they don't actually know anything about him).
Daniel and Arnold have a conversation on their way from school. Arnold asks if Daniel wants to come and play baseball with the other kids in Gerald Field. Daniel says he doesn't really like sports, and would rather go home to his room.
Arnold brings up Daniel's apparently poor attention span and asks about it. Daniel says about how there's always so much going on in his head and it can hard to concentrate on lessons. Arnold asks "What sort of things are always going on your head?" and Daniel replies "Well... music, mainly..." and he doesn't say any more, and seems rather uncomfortable talking about it.

Later, Helga is walking past Arnold's boarding house (and also hoping to get a glimpse of Arnold through his window), she hears these electric guitar licks coming from a front window, which was left ajar. Helga says "Hey, thats pretty awesome" (Helag's the character who's most likely to like rock) and looks through the window. She sees Daniel playing electric guitar, dressed in full rocker outfit. He sees her looking through the window and jumps, acting quite embarrassed about being discovered like this. Helga opens the window fully and talks to him about the music she heard (though nots exactly in the kindest way: "*laughs*Nice outfit, by the way...") Daniel admits that he writes his own songs and plays guitar, as well as piano and singing. He says he loves the old rock stuff but has always been embarrassed about not liking any current music or anything that anyone else likes. He's also kept his own music hobbies a secret because he's always been worried about what people would say about it, as he doesn't think he's very good. This leads Helga into giving a rather insensitive pep talk ("What kind of loser writes stuff like that and then thinks they're not very good. I mean crimeny!, wake up you moron!")

The rest of the episode is about Daniel trying to get together a rock band, with the help of Helga (who immediately appoints herself as band manager. "Its not like your gonna get anywhere without MY help."), for the upcoming school talent show. Daniel's shy nature makes it easy for Helga to walk all over him, like she does with Phoebe. Helga holds some auditions, but Daniel doesn't agree with the people she picks (Oskar could possibly turn up with his saxophone, despite the fact that they don't need a saxophonist).
At first he goes along with it, but eventually he does something that surprises Helga: he stands up for himself. He says about how he's had enough of her management and fires her. He then goes and find some of the people Helga rejected and gets them in his band, kicking out the previous members who weren't as good.

With the new band, Daniel performs at the talent show with a rock song he wrote himself (or possibly a cover of Ronnie Matthew's 'I Saw Your Face And Wow') and manages to blow everyone away with a guitar solo he does. He and the band win the talent show, and talk of Daniel's talent spreads throughout the school. He's no longer known as a nobody and he starts to feel a little more confident and makes some friends.

I think this episode also tells a moral, as it teaches not to judge people.

I do really like this idea. If we could expand on the moral of not judging others, that would be great. <3

Also, myabe I could slightly change it to make him an exchange student, to explain why he probably won't appear in any of the other episodes that people make.
