The First Cheese Festival of the Year Empty The First Cheese Festival of the Year

Post by leilistories Thu Jul 01, 2010 12:15 am

I just had this random idea. Do you know the two episodes with the Cheese Festival, Operation Ruthless and Love and Cheese? Well, I'm not sure when exactly it was set, but I've always had a feeling that Operation Ruthless was somewhere close to the beginning of the school year.

So, now that it's the beginning of fifth grade, don't you think it's about time for another Cheese Festival? I don't know exactly what strange events would happen now that Arnold has nobody to chase after, but I'd like to leave that up for discussion. Who knows? It might actually be nice to see more of the Cheese Festival when not focused on romance, if there is none. Wink

Good idea Very Happy I don't remember when Cheese festival starts but I remember Funnybones had a trivia video about it.
Perhaps Sheena, Eugene or Timberly can take a role in the episode...I can't remember them in two festivals...

That would be a good idea! I think it would be cute seeing Timberly trying to follow Gerald or some other random kid around. xD

Yup, the Cheese Festival should definitely make a comeback (or two, since it got two in fourth grade XD)! There's just so much opportunity for pairing two characters together (romantically or otherwise) and showing lots of amusing little plots at the same time by keeping everyone in the same general area. It's great! x3

So, what if Arnold and Helga really DID end up on the Tunnel of Love? How amazingly and wonderfully awkward would THAT scene be? XD
[AWKWARD SILENCE]
Helga: *sitting with shoulders hunched and arms crossed* So... How ya doin' Football Head.
Arnold: *sitting uncomfortably, clutching seat on either side of his bottom with tense hands* Fine... I guess...
Helga: Yeah, well. Just stay on your side of the boat, Arnold-o.
Arnold: *crosses arms and turns away* I wasn't planning on doing otherwise.

XDXD

XD I can't stop laughing!

Well, although I do love the idea of romanticness (?) I somehow think it would be nice if they save the Cheese festival from disaster.
And I would love to keep meganium's awesome and akward idea XD XD XD XD XXD XXXXXD

I agree - The Cheese Festival shouldn't have to only do with romance... right? Still, I think I like the idea of Timberly being the main character in this episode xD Maybe she could spend the time following Gerald and Phoebe around, or stalk some guy she likes.

And peachcake, I loveee your idea of saving the Cheese Festival from something. Maybe they could think about discontinuing it and Arnold and the gang try to save it? I don't know, what were you thinking?

I was thinking that um. . . that Arnold and Gerald do detective work because they heard someone say they were going to stop the cheese festival by exploding a stink bomb
?
And the other one was "Who stole the cheese"

That's actually a great idea, someone steals the prized wheel of cheese from the cheese festival and Arnold and Gerald try to do some detective work to figure out who did it!

It fills me with joy that you like my idea, peachcake 8D

Okay, so. I really like Timberly as a character, and I think another episode featuring her is a great idea. Maybe Timberly mishears something and thinks the cheese is in danger, and Arnold has to run after her because he promised to escort her since Gerald has a dentist appointment. Meanwhile, Helga is following around Arnold as usual, but then somebody takes something of hers (not her locket, though, since that's been done already)... possibly another Arnold artifact. XD So Helga's chasing around this crazy kid. And as Arnold chases Timberly and Helga chases Crazy Kid, they both end up in the Tunnel of Love together and then we can have my scene in too. XDXD
And then, at the end, Timberly finds out the Cheese Festival is actually safe, and somehow meets Crazy Kid, and they hit it off (not necessarily romantically, but they're fast friends XD).

Timberly: "Fifth graders are stupid."

Crazy Kid: "Tell me about it.

Timberly: "Hey, do you wanna go get some cheese on a stick?"

Crazy Kid: Smile "Sure."

And Helga and Arnold just kinda stare after them like, "O_O;"

Helga: ...Crazy things happen at Cheese Festivals.
Arnold: Uh-huh.
[episode ends]

I love it too!
And thanks for liking my idea!

For the thing the kid stole, I think the only Arnold artifacts she has is the locket and her bow, yeah, her locket's been stolen already and her bow is stolen in Helga's bow. . . so. . . what if it's her money?

As for the crazy kid, what should he look like?

Hmmm... Maybe the money would work... I kind of doubt Bob or Miriam ever gives Helga allowance, so for all I know, she might be hanging on to every little amount of money she has for dear life.

That's a really good thought...maybe Helga needs the money to win something at a carnival game for Arnold XD

Helga:
[opining to locket] Oh my love, I try so hard to express my feelings to you, but somehow, the words never come out right. Perhaps I've been going about it the wrong way? Maybe I should show my love through other means...a thoughtful gesture, a pat on the back a--[spots carnival game] A GIFT! Oh, it's perfect! I will win a beautiful prize for you and present it to you as a small token of my affection! [pulls out money and counts it] Just enough! [determined] Then it's decided. [holding money on high as if it is a heavenly gift] I will go forth and--
Crazy Kid: [running by and grabbing money] Yoink! [continues running off, laughing maniacally]
Helga: [stands a blinks a moment before snapping out of it and stampeding after him like an enraged rhino] HEY! COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE CREEP!!!
